The HP MFP Send Fax is closely associated with the analog fax service provided by the multifunctional printer product line of the hardware manufacturer. The device driver supports the implementation of a half-duplex communication infrastructure. Essentially this means that communication can only be done one way either you receive a fax message or you send one but never the two processes simultaneously. Normally this particular functionality also supports the execution of a dial-up connection that can reach data transmission speeds of up to 33.6 kilobits per second depending on the supported hardware component and the quality of the connection. The device driver essentially initializes the communication hardware component and is also partially responsible for alerting the receiving party of any data transmission. It also supports the scanning process which provides the computer user with the flexibility of scanning documents and immediately sending them out as fax messages.
Unless you update your drivers regularly you may face hardware performance issues.
To check your drivers you should manually verify every device on your system for driver updates
Being a component of a multifunctional printer, the device driver by design is intended by its manufacturer to support all feature sets built into the device. This means that any generic device driver may be able to make the hardware component operational printing wise but not functional. Basically when the correct device driver is installed into the host computer system it creates a communication link with the installed software applications. This allows for the inclusion of the supported hardware component into the printing options of the program. In essence when a computer user opens a word processing program for example the typed document can be sent out as a fax message or saved in the hard drive. This provides more options for the computer user on how to handle documents. In the same manner that a scanned document can be opened in a word processing application and edited using Optical Character Recognition technology prior to being sent out as fax. The scanned document can then be saved not as an image file but a text or word processing file. It is highly recommended you run a free registry scan for and HP MFP Send Fax errors before installing any driver updates.
