The liteon HID monitor controls are simply a class of drivers that make handling the LiteON HID monitor easier, hence giving a user the direct access to the device. The latest drivers were released in 2001. The drivers also allow the device to interact well with software layers on the host system and other HID drivers. The drivers a re based on reporting formats standardized by VESA. The standardization in turn allows the monitor to adjust to changes in the video signals transmitted to it through the video adapter. The monitor controls includes descriptive information regarding the monitor, pre-adjustment timings, operational limits and gamma information. The LiteOn monitor controls integrates how information reporting and how the host machines obtains the information. This is enabled by the video BIOS and, whereby the display adapter communicates, information obtained by the windows based operating systems, to the monitor.
Unless you update your drivers regularly you may face hardware performance issues.
To check your drivers you should manually verify every device on your system for driver updates
The LiteOn HID monitor controls define the associations between the monitor and the host system. This is done using the interrupt pipe and the default pipe. The two act as interfaces with the human interface device. The HID monitor controls are performed using corresponding class devices. The devices on the other hand are supported by reports, which represent the data transfers. The data transfers have three main components namely, input, feature and output. The feature reports transfer I/O control (IOCTL) and status information thus producing data that can be read by the user. In some cases, the LiteOn HID monitor controls allows the restoration of company default settings, if the user wishes so. However, if the compatibility mode is not supported, the monitor simply reacts to class-specific requests. Such include HID specific requests such as Get_idle, Get_protocol, or Set_idle among others. It is highly recommended you run a free registry scan for and LiteOn HID Monitor Controls errors before installing any driver updates.
