The Logitech QuickCam messenger is a QVGA webcam that is able to carry out video capture with a maximum of 640 x 480 pixels at a frame rate of up to 30 fps. It also enables capture of still images at 640 x 480 pixels. The webcam has a special in built microphone on its body for appropriate sound pick-up. Its base is equipped with a flexible clip that holds the camera up right and attaches securely to the computer screen. The system requirements for this appliance are, Pentium III Celeron or higher with Windows XP or 2000 operating system. A minimum RAM should be 128MB or higher with a free disk space of 2000MB. The PC should be USB capable with 1.1 or 2.0 specifications. For sound capture, the pc should be installed with a full duplex sound card and speakers for the sound output.
