The PowerShot A100 not only offers very good quality photos but some extra zoom range as well as the convenience of AA batteries in an affordable, pocket sized package and using the Canon's PowerShot A100's 5x or 6x zoom makes a noticeable difference. Add on to that the camera's excellent quality, its above standard resolution, and Canon's Digic 4 image processor and you're photographic abilities are going to do the talking for you. And considering the camera has a 6x zoom lens and carries two AA batteries with it, the weight isn't too much of an issue. Save for how often you'll be forced to visit the local store for batteries. There are some rechargeable batteries available for this camera though. Along with this, Canon puts five popular scene selections and a SCN choice for accessing lesser used scene settings. It is highly recommended you run a free registry scan for and PowerShot A100 errors before installing any driver updates.
