The RDC 500 is an award winning digital camera that has set the pace for photography with high resolutions. It has pixel of 2.3 million which captures images at 1792 by 1200 resolutions. This mega pixel range is higher than that of regular cameras and this makes it stand out. Images experienced on this camera are detailed and the clarity is of a kind. It has an optical zoom of 2.3 which makes capturing of distant images precise and up-close. Perfect shots are achieved on the RDC 500 due to its auto white balance and auto flash. It has controls which are easy to use and automatic and the user is only required to point and shoot. Photos taken with this camera are excellent and the user could never wish for more. It has an optical lense that plays with the photographer's imagination to achieve what they want.

The RDC 500 uses capture modes of burst, stills, text and auto bracket. It has a storage software known as the SmartMedia memory which stores images up to 32MB. It has a recording format of JPEG and its video signal is of NTSC/pal and it is switchable. The RDC 500 uses a recording medium which is internal 8Mb and a SmartMedia which is compatible with megabytes between 2 and 32. It features a playback mode which is automatic. Its optical viewfinder is either LCD or optical. The focus is also automatic and the shooting range is 4cm wide. It has a self timer which delays for approximately 10 seconds.
