The Scanner 4800dpi is a flatbed scanner. It can input modes of front panel scans to any HP Photosmart software. It can copy and scan using the HP Solution Center, while the user application is done via TWAIN. This scanner features an optical resolution of up to 4,800 dpi and 48-bit color depth. Its scan speed is less than 24 seconds when scanning a 4x6 inch color photo using the Microsoft Word program, less than 37 seconds when scanning a full page-text using the Microsoft Word program and less than 25 seconds when scanning an email photo. It has scaling functionality of 10 to 2000% using 1% increment and it uses a high-speed USB interface which is compatible with the specifications of a USB 2.0. The Scanner 4800dpi can scan up to a maximum document size of 216 x 356 mm.
