Free PC speculation tool

Speccy is a free evaluation program for Microsoft Windows PC components. The application provides detailed information about the system components of the computer or laptop, including 'Audio' and CPU'. A detailed summary can be viewed within the first tab of the user interface.

Is Speccy safe?

Speccy can be safely downloaded onto your PC. Piriform LTD developed and published Speccy for Windows 10, Windows 8.1 and Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP 32 and 64-bit operating systems. The software company also released CCleaner and Defraggler, Recuva, and many other programs.

Is Speccy a malware?

Speccy doesn't have any spyware, malware, or adware. During the installation process, you will not be asked to download or install third-party software. The app can be used securely in an ad-free environment. The user interface of the information tool is clean and ad-free.

What does Speccy do for you?

Speccy can analyze the internal and exterior elements of your computer to provide an analysis that will help you better understand the condition. The user interface is easy to use and has a simple design. The 'Summary tab provides a quick overview of each unit. It is easy to see the model and brand numbers of the items.

You can list one or more devices under the titles in the "Summary" section. You can quickly find important information in the Operating System’ segment, such as serial number and installation date. The OS area allows you to view the automatic updates settings. You can see if the antimalware software has been disabled or enabled in the 'Antivirus' section.

The 'CPU section' next to 'Cores allows you to see how many processors your central processing units have. The bottom of the screen displays the current core speed and temperature for each processor. The chart will also display the 'Multiplier, 'Bus Speed, and 'Threads.

The RAM section will show you how much RAM space your computer has. To give you an idea of how much storage space your computer is using, the number of total, used and free memory slots will all be listed. Below the 'Memory" dropdown, you will see the type, frequency, and size of your RAM system.

The percentage of memory you are using will be displayed next to the Memory Usage label under 'Physical Memory. The 'Motherboard tab contains the technical specifications of the machine: BIOS, voltage and PCI data. The basic facts about connected monitors will appear under 'Graphics'. These include monitor height, width and resolution. If graphics cards are connected, you can view statistics such as manufacturer, ID, and so on.

Advanced insight into your computer

The 'Storage tab provides information about your hard drives. The 'Optical Drives" segment will show you which type of optical drives you have: Blue-Ray reader or DVD writer.

Any associated sound systems, such as speakers, headsets, and so on, will be listed under 'Audio. The term 'Peripherals" refers to external devices that are connected to the computer, such as printers, mice, and so on. Any internet connections you have within the 'Network area can be viewed.

Popular hardware monitor alternatives

Aida64 and Core Temp are similar diagnostic programs. All the system detection apps monitor your computer to provide detailed reports. These programs profile your hardware in detail. Core Temp is designed to measure the temperature of processors. MSI Afterburner was specifically designed to scan graphics cards.

Aida64, CPU-Z and HWiNFO are cross-platform. However, the rest are only available for Windows PC computers or laptops. Core Temp, CPUZ, HWiNFO and HWMonitor are all freeware. A limited-time trial of Aida64 is available. Speccy is a freemium application that you can upgrade to get automatic software updates and premium tech assistance.

Powerful PC speculation software

Speccy, an advanced system inspector, provides detailed information after you have screened your computer. The interface is simple to use. Reports on the operating system, motherboard, optical drives and storage can be viewed. These categories are organized into tabs at the left of the screen, which contain dropdown menus within each window.

The premium edition of Speccy does not automatically update software, but you can still upgrade the free version. Their website has information about the latest system releases. Speccy is not able to receive frequent software updates.
