Free media creation tool

AveYo, an independent developer, offers Universal MediaCreationTool that allows you to download any version Windows 10 directly from Microsoft. This open-source software allows users to create a customized Windows 10 installation. Similar apps are Windows Media Creation Tool, Windows 10 ISO Tool, and Windows Media Creation Tool.

You can choose any version of Windows 10 to download. This is not the case with the Windows Media Creation Tool. You can also create an ISO file image from the entire installation package for many other purposes. These can be used later on virtual hard drives, burned to a DVD, or copied to USB flash drives for bootable configurations.

App workarounds

The installation package is a compressed batch file. All you have to do is extract this file and then select 'Run as administrator' by right-clicking on the extracted MediaCreationTool.bat file. Next, select the Windows 10 edition you wish to download.

This service can be used to upgrade or downgrade your current Windows 10 Operating System build. Before performing any of these operations, it is a good idea to make a backup of your files. Advanced users should already be able to perform OS upgrades and downgrades.

Windows 10 versions

Once you have successfully installed the software program, you can take advantage of the additional functionality that is not available with the official Windows Media Creation Tool. You can upgrade or downgrade your OS, back up your system, and create a bootable file on external disks. Then you can choose the function you require from the program.

Universal MediaCreationTool Customisable

The most recent update to the batch file covers all versions and editions Windows 10. You can also set the language and edition to update to a different version of Windows 10. This is possible for Windows 10 versions that are based on Windows 10 2004 (19041). You're good to go if you haven't already.
