Windows Mobile Device Center – Automatically sync your email between Windows Mobile Devices

Microsoft created Windows Mobile Device Center, a native synchronization program for Windows 7, which replaces ActiveSync. This service allows mobile devices to sync with a Windows-based device over the internet. This application is part of the Windows Mobile Devices Management and Service Packs for certain models of Windows Mobile 5. This service allows users to manage all their devices from one central location and synchronize data. The application's synchronization engine allows users to view their devices' schedules and view all their data.

ActiveSync is a Windows utility that allows you to sync data between multiple devices. ActiveSync allows users to sync documents between their mobile devices and PCs, but acts only as a mediator, and data cannot be transferred to another device. It is cross-platform and can be used with Windows. This application's synchronization engine is based on code from the Open Handset Alliance's OMA Flash library. It is also supported by Windows Phone and Windows CE. This allows any Windows Mobile Device to synch with any Windows Vista or Windows Phone device. This provides an effective unified experience for the end user.

You may be wondering if this application can be used with your Microsoft Outlook and Windows Live Meeting programs. The answer is yes. This will not be possible if your Windows Mobile Device doesn't have a Windows Mobile Enterprise plan. Microsoft offers this device management plan through their official support channels, such as the Windows Mobile Application Development or Windows Mobile Device Management tools that are part of the Windows Mobile Enterprise Software Installer. Go to the Windows Mobile Application Development website, download the setup disk and then install the software. Once the software is installed, you will be able to start synchronizing email between your e mail accounts and Windows Mobile phones running Windows Vista or Windows Phone OS.
