How to clean a printer

Level of difficulty: EASY

Printer is a device that prints text or illustrations on paper and in many cases on transparencies and other media. Printer is one of the most common output devices. It provides the user with a permanent visual record of the data output from the computer. Printers can print on any kind of papers and with a speed of more than two thousand lines per minute. There are various categories of printers on the basis of their functioning. While using the printer, we also need to know about its maintenance and the ways of increasing its productivity. For instance, a printer can get blocked thereby affecting the performance of the printer. The printing quality gets detoriated and damages the printer in the long run. Thus cleaning the printer is so important. While printing, the printer accumulates millions of tiny dots which in turn form images on the paper. The most important factor for this is the toner. While printing, the printer releases small particles of toner dust which gets stuck. For ensuring that no problems will occur, the dust has to be cleaned up from time to time. The cleaning process can be carried out manually as well as with printer software.
